DIGITAL GAME WORKS

Below are the published digital game titles that I’ve worked on, in order of latest to oldest.

THE PROJECT: Unannounced Eldritch Horror Strategy RPG, developed by Ludare.

ROLE: Lead Game Designer, 2022

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Worked closely with development team to take the game concept from written theory, to a playable vertical slice in the Unity engine over the course of 6 months
• Responsible for balancing all content, including characters, missions, maps, items, and player progression
• Developed the game’s applied framework for Sound Design, and worked in conjunction with other design disciplines to develop the music
• Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining design documentation for the project
• Began creating design flowcharts to visually clarify mechanics, concepts, and system flow for other members of the team

THE PROJECT: War Commander is a long-running ground combat-themed MMORTS developed by KIXEYE.

ROLE: Game Designer, 2020-2022

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Worked in conjunction with teams of product analysts, artists, engineers and other game designers to create compelling content for players to engage with, on a frequent release schedule

• Designed, tested, balanced and implemented numerous player-facing units and on a consistent cadence, as well as the NPC units that players would fight against

• Implemented best-practice design documentation for both new, and legacy systems that had no existing or fragmented documentation

THE PROJECT: Battle Pirates is a long-running naval-themed MMORTS developed by KIXEYE.

ROLE: Game Designer, 2019 – 2020

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Worked in conjunction with teams of product analysts, artists, engineers and other game designers to create compelling content for players to engage with, on a frequent release schedule

• Designed, tested, balanced and implemented battle maps for monthly events and sub-events, in both single player and co-operative forms

• Implemented best-practice design documentation for both new, and legacy systems that had no existing or fragmented documentation

THE PROJECT: The Pit: Infinity is a FPS adaptation of the indie hit Sword of the Stars: The Pit by the original developers, Kerberos Productions.

ROLE: Game Designer, 2017 – 2019

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Worked with lead game designer to design and balance gameplay through extensive playtesting within, and outside of the company

• Responsible for development and implementation of game systems, and the creation/maintenance of rules documentation
